Safe and Sound at SACO The Cannon

I’ve been working on getting my London roundup up on the blog for ages now! I’m incredibly excited to share it with you all, so let’s start off with an old favourite with a new twist…SACO! You may remember that the last time I was in London, I stayed with them at one of their flats and it blew my mind. It was off of Gloucester Road and safe to say, it was beautiful! Well since I was in London for London Fashion Week, I thought…well why not stop by again?! This time, instead of heading to their apartments, I tried something new….The Cannon.

Now you may say…what is The Cannon? Well it’s an aparthotel, so basically apartment style living, in a hotel format! I love the idea behind it because it feels a lot safer than an apartment that I’m renting myself (slight allusion to the Kim Kardashian dilemma), but without the confines of a hotel. I had to clean and cook for myself, but there was a lovely concierge downstairs at all times who made me feel welcome. I landed at 7am on the Friday of London Fashion Week, so safe to say, I was tired. The concierge helped me get my bags tucked away til I got back and found all of my LFW mail, so I wouldn’t miss a beat.

I stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment and honey was I spoiled! I was blown away by everything from the super soft bed to the beautiful hardwood floors that greeted me. The bathroom was a large size with white tiles everywhere and a large rain shower that was a welcome end to my day. There was an Apple TV so I could edit my videos and check how they looked on a wide format on their flat screen TV or I could feed my Prison Break obsession and binge watch the show well into the night. Do you see the bed? Just imagine a cloud and sleeping on it! Even nights when I had people yelling outside the window, I was able to fall asleep, just because the bed was that comfortable. You really can’t beat that because after a long day of LFW madness….a soft bed is a necessity. Just letting you all know.

Now…let me tell you about the location. Personally, I couldn’t have asked for a better location. As you can tell from the name, SACO The Cannon is located on Cannon Street. The hotel is actually across from one of the Mansion House exits, so within 2 minutes, I was on the Circle and District lines, off to my next destination. Also, the Cannon Street Station was about a 5 minute walk, so if you want to avoid the stairs, you can head there for a completely different experience!

When I was out and about, I loved having the ability to come back and cook dinner or write blog posts. Personally, when I stay in a hotel, I feel like I have to go in and out and party. I don’t feel like that is the same case when I’m in an apartment or hotel. I make it mine and unpack the minute I arrive. The Hat Logic - Safe and Sound at SACO The Cannon

As usual, the staff is out of this world. From the moment I trudged in at around 9 until I left in my taxi to my next destination, they did their best to help me get the best 4 days out of The Cannon and I can’t say enough about them! I’m so grateful that I was able to stay with SACO for a little longer this time, and you can definitely be assured that this is not the last time that I will be staying with them.
